Hailing from Christchurch, DOCJOC (aka Jono Blackie) started playing drums at the ripe young age of 7. After years of enduring drums on BORING orchestral music, and dare he say it, traditional JAZZ, Jono was itching to break free and dive headfirst into jungle, dnb, and breakbeats.

Two years later, he’s carved out a truly unique live act that blurs the line between DJ set and live performance. DOCJOC’s online content and live shows have gone viral on social media, and he’s now touring and selling out shows across the country.
