No, Matakanarama is strictly R20 – you must have valid ID to enter the festival.

Yes, your ticket needs to match your ID. If you’re buying off someone else, make sure it’s transferred properly.

Humanitix is our official Ticket & Resale provider. DO NOT exchange funds for Tickets elsewhere as official name changes will not have taken place, and Tickets are checked against IDs when entering the festival. Don’t get left out of pocket and without a valid Ticket. Scamming has increased significantly online.

Yes! We’re offering buy now, pay later options through the ticket website.

4-week and 12-week payment plans are available.

• General Camping = in the paddock next door, less than a 5-minute walk from the far corner to any of the stages.

• Glamping = Luxury bell tent accommodation in a private campground with separate facilities.
•  
• Tent Packages = Pre-pitched tents for hire with Sleeping bags, mattresses and pillows included.

All your camping essentials, good vibes, and whatever you need to look after yourself for the weekend.

Note that glass, alcohol and illicit substances is prohibited on entry.

For everyone’s safety, the following items are not permitted on site:

Laser pointers

Glass of any kind

Fireworks

Gas cookers, BBQs, or open-flame cooking equipment due to fire restrictions

Alcohol of any sort

Any illegal contraband or weapons

If you’re unsure about an item, it’s always best to leave it at home or check with us beforehand.

Yes! One & two day tickets are now available for purchase.

You should have received an order confirmation email from Humanitix with an attached invoice. Search ‘Humanitix’ in your emails and look for “Matakanarama.”

If you think you may have entered your email incorrectly, email support@matakanarama.co.nz and we can find your ticket for you.

Access to digital tickets will be issued closer to the event.

You will be sent your ticket via email before the event – your confirmation email isn’t a ticket itself.

Tickets stays hidden to avoid fraudulent resales occuring, protecting all buyers.

Yes. Campers are welcome to leave the festival grounds during the day to enjoy the beaches and local activities, but must return before gates close (time TBC).

If you leave the grounds after this time, you won’t be able to re-enter the festival. This includes returning to the car park.

This applies to both campers and non-campers.
