A true compiler of the obscure and the obvious, young gho$t leaves no stone unturned in his quest of sonic exploration. He started rapping on Soundcloud back in 2015, and since then has dedicated almost all his spare time towards making and learning about music.
The scope of his work is broad, and he thrives in open minded musical environments, operating with extreme prejudice towards genre boundaries.
The London-born lyricist moved from the UK to Aotearoa in 2011, and in that time has forged a reputation as a fierce live performer on both the mic and the decks. Ghost has made heaps of tunes, including four full-length projects, as well as collaborations with a whole bunch of cool artists across a range of genres. Most of it will probably stay on a hard drive forever, but occasionally he bites the bullet and releases something.
In this time he has performed at some of Aotearoa’s most prominent club nights and festivals, as well as helping to expand the growing bass music scene in Te Whanganui-a-Tara through his production company, Ghost Media. At some point he realised that he was doing too much marketing and not enough living, so nowadays he’s usually just vibing - writing bars, reading a book or cooking a feed. Occasionally he gets out of the house to play a show. This is one such occasion.
