Originally from Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Wellington, Mathew Eveleigh & Jack Ritchie from Hutt Collective embarked on their musical journey together in the most unexpected of places - a primary school hall where they first wielded mallets on a xylophone.
Little did they know, a few decades later, that shared passion of music forged a bond that transcended the playground.
Since those early days, Mathew and Jack have played festivals such as TwoMinds, HighTide & NestFest as well as running events with artists like Josh Baker, Jansons, Dance System, Nate S.U, Per Hammar, Fio Fa, Hidde Van Wee, KC Lights to name a few.
The duo’s meticulous selections showcase a distinctive talent for curating tracks that resonate with audiences, illustrating the unmistakable synergy that was ignited back in those primary school days.
Get ready for a journey through deep house, wonky grooves and electronic oddities from the late ’90s, early 2000s, and beyond - digging deep for forgotten gems, cult cuts, and sounds that still hit today.
