Clova is a 21 year old producer and multi-instrumentalist based in Pōneke, Aotearoa. Her live sets are 100% original productions that blend her inspirations from 90s rave culture and genres like UK garage and jungle, with her own take on dance music; live processing her violin and vocals to create new sonics using Ableton Live.
During the day she studies orchestral composition, but at night she spends her time producing dance music and songwriting. She finds a passion in telling stories through her music, whether it be in the relatability of her lyrics, speaking of growing out of teenage years into a world of exploration, confusion, heartache and heartbreak, in her song based works — or whether it be in the driving experimental club sets she performs around Pōneke, blending live instrumentation with multi-genre explorations, from dub, footwork, garage, jungle, house and techno to deep ambient orchestral works that switch into drum and bass halfway through — her focus is on taking listeners on a journey, bpm wise and sonically.
She has played festivals such as High Tide, Twisted Frequency and Cuba Dupa, and has been on support for acts such as Conducta, 33 Below, Two Faced, Nextax, Napes, Crossy, Monrroe, Duskee, to name a few.
